Mr Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, has stated that the 2023 election will be about character and leadership competence rather than religion or tribe.
This was stated by Peter Obi on Monday in Lagos at the Nigerian Bar Association Annual General Conference, NBA-AGC.
According to Obi, the country’s problems have gotten so bad that the 2023 election will be about who has the character and competence to lead the country out of its current quagmire, not about religion or tribe.
“Nigeria is in shambles. We arrived here simply as a result of the cumulative effect of poor leadership. The upcoming election is about character and competence, not tribe or religion. We require a bold transition from a highly secure to a highly secure state.”
