2Face Idibia, a Nigerian music icon, has donated a multimillion dollar music studio to the famed Obafemi Awolowo University in Ile Ife.
On Tuesday, March 15, 2022, the musician announced it on his Instagram page.
“Sometime ago I was honoured by the Great OAU as I was inducted into the school of music as A Fellow Of The School of music,” he captioned the opening ceremony video.
He also stated that he intends to construct a comparable studio at Benue State University (BSU).
“Today I just commissioned the multimillion # studio I built for the music department in OAU ile-ife. up next is Benue State University #GRATEFUL #WARRIOR.”
After the studio was commissioned, the musician uploaded a photo of himself with Eyitope Ogunbodede, OAU’s vice-chancellor.
The Vice-Chancellor praised the singer in his welcome address.
Thanks to 2Baba, OAU now possesses the best recording studio of any Nigerian university, according to Ogunbodede.
2Baba is a Nigerian musician, singer, songwriter, record producer, entrepreneur, philanthropist, humanitarian, and activist who goes by the stage name Innocent Ujah Idibia.
