Duru is without a doubt one of Nigeria’s most talked-about emerging Afro-fusion artists. He is a talented young man from Imo State, in the southeastern portion of the country, who was born in Aba. Duru explained his decision to pursue a career in music in a number of in-studio and closed-door interviews, declaring unequivocally that he did so in order to find a voice on the global stage since his meteoric climb to fame in 2009. The emerging celebrity is a songwriter, singer, performer, and real estate expert, to name a few things.
Duru has had his say. That was only the beginning. We look forward to learning more about him in the future. So, can we start talking about the music right now?

Love at first sight
Good music, like poetry, heals the spirit. More importantly, the theme of love in a fine piece of music makes it nothing short of fascinating. Duru’s narrative ability was imaginatively employed to illustrate this theme in Wayte. “….as I see you for corner, e be like my brain don format ooo.” he remarked in the second verse. He flatters his African Lady in this way to show her how much he liked her at first sight. What a fantastic bad guy!
Desire
In addition, Davido, the DMW boss, joined his vocals to do some really nice stuff. He conveyed his desires to his beloved in the third verse. He imagined a moment in which they would be more intimate, doing whatever they could as lovers and in their own time. “Picture me baby, me and you on a yacht oo; we’re touring all around,” the diva sang in the third stanza. He then went on to add some good lines to it. Masterclass!
Romance
The song also depicted the concept of romance in all its grandeur and refinement. You can tell how much the huge gentlemen in the song adored their ladies by the way they spoke about them. Their nice words, compliments, and heartwarming comparisons were enough to win them over. Peruzzi opens the first stanza with “Stay, I’ll stay/ I no mean to bother you/ I get plan to cover you” to demonstrate how much he desired all the romance and dedication. It’s apparent that the Heartwork singer didn’t hold back in expressing his deepest feelings. Isn’t it lovely? Yes!
The power of love
Without a doubt, you can see from the highlights above that this component – the power of love – will undoubtedly be emphasized in the song. The artists’ combined and innovative efforts effectively conveyed the strength of love and the depths to which humans love. Love is sweet; but when money enter love it’s sweeter. Right? Yes. “I no send economy, the love cover me,” Peruzzi said in the hook. Davido also utilized phrases like “my fashion killer, I go buy you the Tom Ford ooo” and “you no go fly economy, first class ticket to cover you” in different parts of the song.
Duru also dropped some hot stuff to address the issue, as the song goes. You can’t say you don’t want to listen yet, can you? No, you won’t be able to.
There is so much more to this work of art than words can express. It also covered a variety of other topics that are too many to detail here. Make a list of reminders. Soon, the music art will be available. Get your dancing shoes on because Duru and the DMW big boys have prepared something special for you. Prepare yourselves as well, because Duru is coming for you!
