Sen. Kashim Shettima, a vice presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2023, has guaranteed Nigerians that they will have access to leaders with relevant expertise starting on May 29, 2023.
Shettima made this declaration during the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Nigeria Bar Association, according to a statement released by Mr. Bayo Onanuga, the Director, Media and Publicity, APC Presidential Campaign Council, on Monday in Abuja (NBA).
Sen. Bola Tinubu, the APC presidential contender for 2023 and a previous two governor of Lagos State, was represented at the ceremony by the previous two governor of Borno.
At the ceremony in Lagos, Shettima was cited by Onanuga as saying: “Our achievements in Lagos and Borno shows we’ll hit the ground running quickly.
“Tinubu and Shettima will reproduce the achievements of the party in Lagos, Borno, and other states across the nation.”
He said that despite the North-unstable East’s security condition, Borno saw significant educational advancements during his tenure as governor of the region.
Shettima continued by saying that Nigerians were able to recognize the stale language and euphemisms used by arrogant politicians.
He promised that, if Tinubu and Shettima were to win the president in 2023, they would get right to work and fix the nation’s problems with the economy, the environment, and security.
“And we have the antecedents. I built some of the best schools in Nigeria. Go to Borno and see wonders; you will never believe that it is a state in a state of war.
“So, we are going to replicate our achievements in Lagos, in Borno and some of the frontline states so that our nation will be a better place.
Shettima further stated, “The core problem is genuine leadership,” according to Onanuga. (NAN)
