Abubakar Muhammad, 25yrs old, was charged on Thursday in a Magajin Gari, Kaduna Sharia court for reportedly stealing a loaf of bread. Muhammad is also accused of attacking Isah Hamza, the person who distributes food.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the offender first refuted the charges at the initial hearing, at which point he was given bail under the requirement that he provide a trustworthy surety.
Muhammad later entered a plea of guilty after facing 45 days in jail for failing to secure a guarantor for his bail.
Muhammad is accused of criminal conspiracy, extortion, and harming others, according to earlier statements from the prosecution’s attorney, Insp. Ibrahim Shuaibu.
