This was said by Saraki on Monday at the Ilorin Central Jumat Mosque moments after the 10th memorial celebration prayers in honor of his deceased father, Dr. Abubakar Olusola Saraki.

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, would surprise Nigerians in the upcoming general elections in 2023, according to past Senate President Dr. Bukola Saraki, despite the inner crises the principal opposition party is now experiencing.

We shall surprise Nigerians, the previous 2 governor of Kwara state declared. Together, we will work to improve Nigeria’s situation. This is so that we may all consider what is best for this nation. Take a look at the destitution on the street. Take a look at how poorly governance has performed.

The PDP candidate for president Atiku Abubakar and the G-5 governors, led by Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike, he claimed, would soon settle and put their political issues beyond them. Because Nigerians want the PDP to retake power, we would prioritize serving them. Despite their minimal differences, Governor Wike and Alhaji Abubakar

It was difficult for him to persuade me to enter politics at the time, according to Saraki. It was a struggle, and I fought against it. Today, though, I realize that witnessing others’ growth offers the greatest sense of fulfillment.

Just at remembrance prayer, guests include Senator Gbemisola Saraki, Minister of State for Mine and Steel Development, former PDP National Chair Abubakar Kawu Baraje, and previous Youth and Sports Minister Bolaji abdullahi.

As his descendants, just one thing we have to do is carry on his legacy of ensuring that people’s lives are improved and standing out for the truth. Despite the difficulty of standing for the truth, I am determined to fight for a better Kwara.

Others were Senator Rafiu Ibrahim, Hon. Bio Ibrahim, Prof. Ali Ahmad, former Kwara State House of Assembly Speaker, Hon. Babatunde Mohammed, the state PDP head, and Senator Saraki’s wife, Toyin.

The PDP’s nominee for governor of Kwara state in 2023 and his running mate, Alhaji Shuaib Yaman Abdullahi and Hon Gbenga Makanjuola, also accompanied the memorial service.
