Following the increase in the price of diesel, Nigerian artist Paul Okoye, also known as Rudeboy, stated that he paid N1.4 million on the petroleum commodity.
On Wednesday, Rudeboy, a member of the P-Square music group, revealed this on his Instagram story, describing diesel as “the new luxury.”
“Ordinary house, I’m spending 1.4 million Naira for diesel,” he wrote (Generator and diesel.) The new opulence.”
Due to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, the price of diesel has just increased. The collapse of the national grid in Nigeria has exacerbated the problem, resulting in blackouts in several regions of the country.
The Manufacturers Association of Nigeria has requested urgent action from the Federal Government to support the manufacturing of goods as diesel prices reach N720 per litre, according to Naijapress.
