Youth unemployment benefits will begin in the following fiscal year, according to the Chhattisgarh chief minister

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel stated on Thursday that starting in the upcoming fiscal year, unemployed youngsters in the state will be awarded a monthly allowance. This is a significant declaration ahead of the Chhattisgarh Assembly elections scheduled for this year’s end.

It was one of the most important pledges the Congress made prior to the 2018 Assembly elections, which led to the party’s return to power in the state after a 15-year absence.

Following the raising of the national flag on Thursday at the Lalbag Parade grounds in Jagdalpur, the administrative center of the Bastar district, Baghel addressed the crowd on the occasion of Republic Day. He also announced that the state would be developing a rural industry policy to support the cottage industry-based rural economy.

The CM added that property tax exemptions will apply to enterprises situated in industrial districts created by the Industries Department. Aiming ostensibly for the Assembly elections, he also made a number of other announcements, including the construction of an aerocity near the Raipur airport, a housing assistance program for laborers, and a program to encourage women entrepreneurs.

Without giving an exact dollar number, Baghel stated that “unemployed youth will be given an unemployment stipend every month from the next fiscal year (2023–24).” According to him, an aerocity will be built close to Raipur’s Swami Vivekananda Airport to improve passenger amenities, spur business growth there, and create jobs. A stipend of 50,000 rupees will be given to construction employees who have been registered with the Chhattisgarh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board for a period of three years to build their homes, he said.

According to him, a river front will be built along the Kharun River, which flows beside the Durg area and borders Raipur’s capital city. Every year, Maa Kaushlaya Mahotsav will be held in Chandkhuri, which is home to the Mata Kaushlya Temple, as well as the Ramayan and Manas Mandli Mahotsav, according to Baghel.

Researchers claim that Mata Kaushalya was born at Chandkhuri, which is part of the Raipur district, and that it is home to the sole temple in the entire globe that is devoted to her. The temple has been updated and made more beautiful as part of the Congress government’s expansive “Ram Van Gaman” tourism circuit project, which aims to transform all key locations in the state that Lord Ram is thought to have visited during his exile into tourist hotspots.
